Dear Parents/Guardians
I would like to take the opportunity to introduce myself once again, as the Acting Principal at St. Rene/St. Luke CES. My name is Doug Grant and I am a retired YCDSB Administrator with 25 years of experience in that role. I am looking forward to bringing that experience to our school. This week, we welcomed back our students, staff and families. Please take a moment to review the following information items and updates.
MORNING DROP OFF PROCEDURES
Thank you for your support, when dropping off your child(ren) in the morning at 8:45 am when supervision begins (in the Pavement area). Now that we have the first week under our belt, please ensure that you do not enter the school yard with your child, to allow supervisors clear sight lines, as well as part of our Safe Schools policies, they are instructed to report people who are not students of the school that are on school property. It
is also a liability issue should an incident occur. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding
Gracious God, as we come to you at the beginning of this academic year with our many feelings, expectations, and hopes help us to remember and be comforted that you will always be with us.
